  • Ambassador Committee

    Ambassadors welcome and mentor new members, greet members at chamber events, attend new member ribbon-cuttings and open houses. Ambassadors keep chamber event attendance strong by frequently attending various chamber events and by calling other members to encourage their participation. The Committee works with staff to develop strategies to increase member retention and the benefits of membership. The ambassadors also ensure the chamber has a presence at local public events such as Taste of Mequon. This committee meets once per month for one hour.

    Awards Banquet Committee

    Committee members plan the "Celebrate Your Community" awards dinner program and participate in the award recipient selection process. Committee members assist with acquiring event sponsors and raffle /auction items as well as volunteering for event related tasks before and on the day of the event. The event is generally held in October. The committee is responsible for reaching a budgeted revenue projection. This committee meets monthly from January through October.

    Business Engagement Committee

    This committee helps with outreach to existing Mequon-Thiensville businesses with the mission to have a better understanding of their goals and needs and articulate how the Chamber can provide solutions and opportunities. In addition to deepening relationships, committee members are encouraged to have a focus on bringing in new members throughout the year.

    Golf Classic Committee

    Committee members plan the details and run the Annual Golf Classic event. This entails determining the games, contests and prizes as well as acquiring major sponsors, hole sponsors and raffle or auction items. Members help market the event and also recruit volunteers for the day of the outing. Committee members may golf or volunteer at the outing. The committee is responsible for achieving a budgeted revenue projection. The committee meets monthly or bi-monthly from January through June.

    Sporting Clays Committee

    This committee helps plan all levels of engagement with the Annual Sporting Clays outing. Committee members seek out sponsors and donors, recruit participants at all skill levels, promote the event and volunteer with carrying out all tasks at the event itself. The committee meets monthly or bi-monthly from June through September.

    Young Professionals Committee

    The Mequon-Thiensville Chamber Young Professionals Committee explores and plans networking events that serve as an introduction for many young professionals into the chamber programs and business community. The committee will also explore opportunities to expand programming and value for participating young professionals. This committee meets once per month for one hour.
